The ongoing invasion of Ukraine continues to dominate the front pages.
Many of the front pages are reporting on Ukrainian President Zelensky’s concession that Ukraine is unlikely to be able to join Nato. The president was addressing a meeting of northern European leaders on Tuesday when he said Nato’s “open door” policy appears to be closed to Ukraine.

The Daily Express calls President Zelensky’s Nato concession as a “glimmer of hope” as the city of Mariupol remains under siege and the death toll continues to rise. The front page also reports a total of 122,000 Britons have so far offered to house Ukrainian refugees.
The Daily Mirror takes a look at the prime minister’s negotiations with the Middle East, as he looks to boost fuel supplies from the region. The paper calls it “deals with another devil”.
The Sun leads with the news American billionaire and owner of NFL team The New York Jets and former US ambassador to the UK, is planning to make a last-minute bid for Chelsea FC. The paper says he hopes to “steal the deal” from a Saudi group before the Friday deadline.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s apparent admission that Ukraine may not end up joining NATO makes the front of The Independent. The paper says the president appears to accede to Russian demand on membership.
The Guardian says that while airstrikes hit the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, Ukraine may have to come to terms with never joining NATO. The paper calls the president’s acknowledgement “a significant concession”.
The Metro leads with the fresh sanctions slapped on Russian oligarchs by the UK, as well as the export of luxury goods into the country. The front splash features an image of Roman Abramovic – along with a report he was pictured heading to Moscow on a private jet as “sanctions bite.”
