We have a lot to thank fake tan for but there’s always the fear that you might end up like Ross in that Friends scene (basically a deep mahogany orange). And then there’s the smell, potential streaks and clothes left stained… we could go on.
It’s therefore always a little exciting to see people go wild for a product like Perfect Legs Skin Miracle by This Works, which shoppers are apparently obsessed with for a natural-looking glow.
This popular gem describes itself as a gradual tanning serum that is designed to leave you with a subtle streak-free glow from the first application.
You can then build up the colour through regular repeat applications (though for anyone looking for a deep tan, this probably isn’t the product for you.)
The serum also contains vitamin C to repair and perfect the skin and an oil blend to moisturise. Sounds like an all-rounder to us.
It’s currently on sale on Amazon for £30.40 (was £40) – so still a little more pricey than some brands but several reviewers on the site say it’s worth the money, and prefer it to standard fake tan.

‘Easy application, no streaks and does give a summer glow even after first application,’ an Amazon shopper noted in the reviews. ‘It’s pricey but worth every penny…The light catches it really well and basically just looks and feels great, a definite go-to product.’
Another happy shopper posted it was ‘easier and more natural than fake tan’, and one added: ‘Quite expensive but this really does work. It’s very dark when first applied, I apply at same time as using a moisturiser. It blends in nicely, not too obvious but makes me feel more comfortable when legs are ‘out’ before they get a nice tint on their own.’
One reviewer said they’d ‘never got on with any kind of tanning product’, thanks to ‘bad smells and dodgy coverage’, but added: ‘This stuff is amazing… can I have it delivered by tanker please.’

And one poster said the serum gave them the confidence to get their ’53-year-old legs out at a wedding’.
They said: ‘Massively improved dry skin and just made skin tone more even. Definitely be buying this routinely.’
Well, we’re sold.
And it’s on sale on Amazon with almost £10 off.
