Alison Hammond was roped in to host today’s This Morning, forcing her to change her flight.
Josie Gibson has been fronting the show with Craig Doyle all week, but on yesterday’s episode, he revealed he was heading on holiday and ensured he caused a bit of havoc with some savage digs before he left.
Craig, 52, was switched up for Alison, 48, and Josie, 38 was grateful she was there.
She was particularly thankful as Alison actually had to postpone her own vacation to be there.
‘Thank you so much for being here with me today because you’re meant to be on holiday,’ said Josie in the opening segment of the show.
Alison responded: ‘I only did it because of you and the viewers. I did it for you really.’

‘So you’ve not gone on holiday just to present with me?’ clarified Josie.
‘I’m going tomorrow. I’ve changed my flights just for you and I’m going to go tomorrow.’

Elsewhere in the episode, Alison felt compelled to apologise to young fundraiser Tony Hudgell after she missed his recent expedition.
The eight-year-old, who was abused as a baby by his biological parents, which eventually led to him having his legs amputated after being admitted to hospital with multiple organ failures, fractures and sepsis when he was just one month old, trekked up Orrest Head.
‘You needed you and you never came,’ he told Alison.

Alison apologised for not coming through on her promise and explained that she was filming The Great British Bake Off.
‘I do need to explain it to you. I was recording an episode of Bake Off and I couldn’t make it.’
‘Next time I’m going to try my best to be there. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there. I am disappointed in myself,’ she added.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
