This Morning viewers couldn’t believe Craig Doyle’s real age as they called for him to be a permanent fixture on the couch.
Following Phillip Schofield’s departure from the ITV daytime show, after confessing to an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a runner, Holly Willoughby, 42, has presented with stand-ins.
On Monday for her return, in which she addressed the saga for the first time in a widely-mocked speech, she presented alongside Josie Gibson, 38, who also did the honours on Tuesday.
But on Wednesday and Thursday, the Wylde Moon founder was joined by Craig and the Irish presenter has gone down a storm with viewers, with one branding him ‘refreshing’ on Twitter.
Another pleaded: ‘PLEASE make Craig Doyle the permanent Mon-Fri presenter with Holly. He is brilliant! So charming and likeable, plus a professional too.’
‘@thismorning #thismorning would be great to see #craigdoyle as permanent host with @hollywills He’s a credible presenter with a great Irish sense of humour. Good qualifications for daytime TV… @ITV,’ a third demanded.
