But second place – and the first restaurant in the list – belongs to London’s very own Sketch.
If you recognise the pictures of the Regent Street eatery, it’s probably because you’ve seen it all over your social media feeds. It’s bold, unique and oh-so Instagrammable.
The iconic Gallery Room in it’s blush pink tones was a millennial’s dream, although it’s since had a makeover, with a slightly more muted colour palette. And the futuristic multi-coloured toilet pods are sure to be the prettiest loos in the capital.
If you take a trip to Sketch this festive season, you’ll walk into a winter wonderland, as it’s been decked out for its annual Christmas exhibition.
And the food matches up to your surroundings. Pierre Gagnaire’s restaurant, the Lecture Room and Library, has three Michelin stars.
The rest of the most beautiful list is mainly made up of bookshops – as well as first place, Libreria Acqua Alta, Livraria Lello, El Ateneo Grand Splendid are all places you could easily while away hours picking out some new reads.
The other top 10 entries include stores (Serge Lutens, Prada Marfa, Dior) ad eateries (Zambezi Housem Cafe De La Paix).
