You might imagine Victoria Beckham gets her flowers delivered from the most exclusive florists in the land – but despite her Posh Spice credentials she is actually a fan of the far more accessible, but just as luxe, Flowerbx.
According to the brand, the popstar-turned fashion designer has bunches delivered to the family home and her studio on a regular basis.
Her flower of choice? It’s apparently these Pink Sweet Avalanche Roses.
Other glamorous customers include high-end fashion houses and upmarket hotels in France.
So what makes Flowerbx special? Well, unlike most florists, they only sell bouquets with a single variety of flowers, not mixed. Ugh, it’s so chic, isn’t it?
Before setting up the company, Flowerbx founder, Whitney Bromberg Hawkings, worked in communications for fashion houses for many years.

Victoria’s choice, pink sweet avalanche roses
She said these labels almost always order single-flower variety bouquets but noticed the trend had failed to spread elsewhere.
‘I thought: ‘How come the fashion world does this, and the rest of the world hasn’t caught on?’ she previously told the New York Times.
‘Why does everyone else have old-fashioned mixed arrangements that are so Dorchester hotel? It didn’t seem modern to me.’

So she quit her job in fashion and set up Flowerbx in 2015. Not surprisingly, many of her first customers were fashion houses and those connected to the industry, but the business has grown and now extends far beyond the fashion elite to regular households across the UK.
She keeps prices relatively low (bouquets start at £45) by having the flowers cut to order and sent directly to the customer within 24 hours.
Flowerbx offer a range of varieties in various colours to choose from, including roses (the pink sweet avalanche roses are VB’s favourites), matthiola (also known as stock), snap dragons, alstroemeria, carnations, sunflowers, gladiolus, hypericum and alliums.
Usually, flowers will be bought by a florist at a wholesale market before sitting in a shop a few days, which can add to the overall cost but also affect the quality of the flowers.

Flowerbx says they cut them to order, which means every stem is selected for purpose.
The company even offers a subscription service which makes a great gift or a regular treat for yourself and the first delivery comes with a complimentary vase.
