The White Lotus star Haley Lu Richardson has unveiled a Jennifer Coolidge scene, in which she sounds like she was being very Jennifer Coolidge, that was left on the cutting room floor.
The 27-year-old plays the American Pie legend’s Gen Z assistant, Portia, who becomes embroiled in doomed romances with fellow holidaymaker Albie (Adam DiMarco) and the mysterious Jack (Leo Woodall).
Jennifer’s spoilt heiress Tanya, meanwhile, is coping with rejection from her distant husband Greg (Jon Gries), who jacks in the luxury Sicily holiday for ‘work’, before becoming entangled in a group of extravagant gay men, led by Quentin (Tom Hollander).
And we all know how that friendship ended up playing out (spoiler: it does not end well for Tanya, or indeed her ‘gays’, as she affectionately called them)….
While the 61-year-old actor was responsible for many scene-stealing moments and was the only cast member to reprise their role from the first season, it appears us viewers were deprived of another ‘iconic’ Jennifer Coolidge sequence.
Speaking at the SAG Awards earlier this week, Haley was asked about her favourite Jennifer Coolidge moment and began to explain it was a scene that was ultimately not used in the final edit.

She told E! News ‘It was iconic and it was so cool. I got to see something iconic that she did that no one else will get to see.’
The Jonas Brothers music video star explained it was a scene set around a breakfast table which saw Jennifer as Tanya leap up and scream: ‘Do you think Greg is cheating on me?’
Haley continued:’She went off on this tangent that wasn’t in the script where she was like, “Do you? Do you?” Looking around at everyone at breakfast screaming “Do you?”

‘The rest of the time we were filming we were all just saying “Do you?!”‘
As well as being in awe of her The White Lotus co-star Jennifer, Haley also had another pinch-me moment when she was cast in the Jonas Brothers’ music video.
‘I don’t know where to start. It’s the biggest thing of my life, its the biggest role of my career, past, present and future. It was amazing and I cried for three days straight,’ she said at the Screen Actors Guild awards.

She also hilariously confessed on the red carpet that the show she would most like to guest star on is none other than Love Island.
