It was a brutal night on The Traitors on Wednesday as Brian and Ash were both evicted from Ardross Castle after a blockbuster double-banishment episode.
Brian was dismissed after the tense cliffhanger from episode three, while Ash was betrayed by her fellow Traitors, Harry and Paul – but it appears she won’t be revealing her Traitor status to her fellow contestants until episode five.
Also sitting at the eviction summit was Evie, a Faithful, who immediately took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal her relief that the roundtable had finally answered one fan mystery that had bugged her since day one.
‘Not gonna lie, kinda glad for that roundtable because people are finding out for the first time that me and Charlie are in fact two different people,’ she admitted.

‘[We’re] not the same blonde person lol,’ she finished up, referencing the fact that viewers at home have spent the first four episodes mistaking her for fellow contestant and fellow Faithful, Charlie.
One social media user, named Tim, commented: ‘I find myself consistently pondering whether Charlie and Evie from The Traitors might actually be one and the same.’
Another viewer said: ‘Anyone else watching The Traitors and just after this shot thinking Charlie and Evie are sisters?! Very alike.’
Both messages were accompanied by images of Evie, 29, a veterinary nurse from Inverness, and Charlie, 34, a mental health manager from Bristol, standing side-by-side.

Earlier in the episode, Paul M, who was watching at home, also confessed to having watched four episodes while believing the two contestants were in fact the same person all along.
‘So, I’ve spent the last four episodes thinking that Charlie and Evie are the same person… Guess not!’ while others also commented that another Faithful, Mollie, also bore a strong resemblance.
Because of their visual similarities, one viewer, David, theorised that the pair had been specifically chosen by producers as a red herring in order to mislead people into thinking they were sisters.

Earlier in season two, it had been revealed that contestants Diane and Ross were mother and son, and both related to Game of Thrones actor Kerr Logan, while last season Alex and Tom were revealed to be in a couple mid-way through the show.
However, so far there have been no signs that Evie and Charlie are related – but that doesn’t mean the show’s writers haven’t got another twist up their sleeve in future episodes.
Wednesday’s episode ended on an unusual cliffhanger, with Ash’s announcement that she was a Traitor all along dramatically cut short – leaving viewers to wonder if she could be about to expose Harry and Paul.
Maggie, who was watching on the edge of her seat at home, said: ‘I think Ash is going to throw Paul under the bus as she leaves – that is why it was a cliffhanger end.’
