The Sun – Crackdown on violent yobs: Nailed and jailed

    August 8, 2024

On its front page, The Sun has published the mugshots of those jailed over the far-right unrest in towns and cities across the UK in the past week. The paper says “more than 400 suspects have been arrested at violent protests after three young girls were stabbed to death in Southport last week.” Elsewhere, the front page also features a report on Taylor Swift concerts being cancelled over suspected terrorism plots.

Boy, 14, and bat-wielding pensioner among yobs convicted over riots in UK – as plotters threaten to stir up MORE hate

A 14-year-old boy and a pensioner are among the yobs convicted of taking part in scenes of chaos across the UK.

More than 400 suspects have been arrested at violent protests after three young girls were stabbed to death in Southport last week.

The chaos has so far taken hold of dozens of UK towns and cities with little sign of abating.

It comes as plotters are threatening to stir up more hatred with further demonstrations planned in the coming days.

Far-right yobs are understood to be planning to attack 39 immigration centres and have shared a sick ‘arson manual’ in a vile online forum.

But Sir Keir Starmer has repeatedly warned those taking part in the chaos face a football-hooligan style crackdown.

Three Taylor Swift concerts are CANCELLED after ISIS fanatics target Vienna stadium & cops hunt terror cell

THREE Taylor Swift concerts have been axed after cops foiled an ISIS-linked terror plot on one of her sold-out gigs in Vienna.

The suspected terrorists were planning to target Ernst Happel Stadium – where Swift was set to play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

At least two suspects have been arrested, including a 19-year-old man who was nabbed in Ternitz, an hour from the capital.

Cops reportedly seized chemical and biological substances meant to build a “dirty bomb” at one of their homes, local outlet Kurier reports.

The men allegedly had specific and detailed plans on how to carry out a mass attack at the venue where some 65,000 fans were expected to gather for each show.

‘Tens of thousands of anti-racism protesters protect UK’ - Paper Talk

    Editorial 08 August 2024.

Almost all of Thursday’s front pages report on the anti-racism protestors taking to England’s streets yesterday – in peaceful demonstrations. There is also coverage of the first far-right thugs that have been sentenced for their roles in the rioting and disorder we have seen over the past week – following the stabbing deaths of three young girls and misinformation about the attacker spreading rapidly online.

Many front pages feature images of Matt Hudson-Smith – who narrowly missed out on Gold at the Olympics. His Olympics 2024 silver dominates the back pages and the UK sports pages.
