England players are wearing black armbands in their third T20 game of the four match series against New Zealand at Edgbaston today.
Jos Buttler’s side are looking to wrap up the series in Birmingham having won the first two games of the series.
The series against the Black Caps has given England much-needed white ball game time ahead of the defence of their World Cup ODI title, which starts on October 5 in India.
Why are England players wearing black armbands?
England are wearing black armbands against New Zealand in honour of former Zimbabwe captain and coach Heath Streak, who died away earlier today.
Streak, who was 49, passed away after a battle with liver and colon cancer.
He died peacefully surrounded by family at his farm at Matabeleland, Zimbabwe.
