The event many music lovers feared would never happen has become a reality – and the eagerly-awaited Oasis reunion tour is almost upon us.
With the band’s run of stadium tours set to kick off in July, older brother Noel Gallagher, 58, is hard at work finalising the set list and working on musical arrangements.
While the brothers are reportedly keeping their distance prior to their public reunion, recent grandfather-to-be Liam, 52, remains at his £4million mansion in the South of France.
Sure, they apparently haven’t rehearsed together yet, and rumours of behind-the-scenes tension continues to circulate, but it seems as though the music tour of the century may actually come to pass.
But why did warring brothers Liam and Noel decide to set aside their differences and get the band back together?
According to some sources, it’s all down to Noel’s eldest daughter, Anaïs Gallagher.

The Sun have reported that the influence behind Liam and Noel’s reconciliation was 25-year-old Anaïs, daughter of Noel and Meg Mathews.
With Noel struggling with his divorce from wife of 22 years Sara McDonald, Anaïs was reportedly keen to reunite him with his estranged brother.
‘Anaïs was one of the biggest sources of comfort and support for Noel following his divorce,’ a source told the tabloid.
‘She was the one that was helping him get back on his feet and return to doing things he loved that had fallen by the wayside.
‘Over the years, Noel had offered an olive branch to Liam, but he’d never taken it up.’

The source continued: ‘Anaïs could tell her dad really wanted both his brothers, Liam and Paul, by his side after the split so was determined to get them back in touch.’
She then reportedly reached out to Liam’s sons, Gene and Lennon, and asked them to speak to their father.
‘Liam’s always wanted Oasis back together so he got in touch,’ the insider claims.
The rest, as they say, is history.

She may have been behind their reunion, but Anaïs was also one of the last to know that the band was getting together.
According to Blossoms frontman Tom Ogden, Anaïs had been staying with him and his wife when the news broke.
‘Do you know what? Noel’s daughter Anaïs was staying at mine and Katie’s house when these new stories were breaking,’ he revealed during a one-off show on Radio X.
‘And she actually didn’t have a clue. She was texting around people she knew to find out if it was true. She got no word.’

The brothers announced their reunion in August last year, amid a fevered battle for tickets and a controversy surrounding Ticketmaster’s dynamic ticket pricing system.
As Liam and Noel set aside their decades-long feud, fans were sent into overdrive with the additional news that they’d be joined by founding member Paul Arthurs, aka Bonehead.
The line-up will also include guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell, and keyboardist Mikey Rowe.
The hot-headed siblings are said to be keeping their distance as the kick-off approaches, with insiders fearing that ‘hostilities’ could recommence at any time.

‘If Noel takes the bait, then there could easily be a meltdown,’ a source told The Daily Mail.
But, if they can hold their nerve, the brothers stand to rake in around £50million each.
‘They will jam and work out a set list, and Liam will be the last one to join in with the vocals,’ the Mail’s mole revealed.
‘There is plenty of time and Liam is a born rock ‘n’ roll star who has lived and breathed these songs and performed a lot of them in his solo shows, so he doesn’t need much rehearsal.’
