Windsor Castle: The Queen opts not to attend Royal Ascot for the first time in her reign
The Telegraph says for almost seven decades, the Queen has been as regular a fixture at Royal Ascot as the horses and jockeys themselves.
With Covid restrictions limiting movement and numbers at the event, Her Majesty chooses to watch the opening day on television at Windsor Castle.
