The Great British Bake Off star Dawn has revealed the heroic lengths she underwent to get in the iconic tent on the Channel 4 show.
The IT manager became the sixth baker to be eliminated from the programme hosted by Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding on Tuesday.
Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood chose to send Dawn home after Halloween Week, which saw the wannabe pastry chefs tasked with making various spooky treats.
For the technical, the contestants, getting into the spirit of the terrifying theme in fancy dress, had to make eight s’mores for the technical, while the showstopper was to make a baked delight from a hanging lantern.
Unfortunately, Paul didn’t rate Dawn’s ‘A Cat In A Fancy Hat’ latern, branding it ‘basic and simple’, although Prue did praise her jelly eyes.
As she left the show, she said: ‘I really don’t want to shed tears over this because it’s been the best experience of my life.
‘I can’t wish for more than that. I’m really proud of what I’ve done. I’m so proud.’
GBBO’s official Twitter account also shared a sweet letter Dawn penned for fans following the eliminations.
She said: ‘Well, it’s finally time to say goodbye to the tent after the adventure of a lifetime.

‘Ten applications fan then finally I got the call I’d dreamt about. I arrived at the tent feeling a bit scared (terrified).
‘Everyone knew who I was, really strange, I’m just Dawn, Mrs Ordinary Mum/Granny!
Dawn continued: ‘What a great time (that no one ever sees) so welcoming and wonderful. They even check how you take your coffee before you arrive.’
