The Bay star Georgia Scholes has pushed back against comments made about her weight while pregnant.
Appearing on the crime drama as Erin Fisher in the most recent fourth season, Georgia was also in Hollyoaks back in 2020.
But after trolls made comments about the way she looked in her latest project, the actress has hit back.
‘Amused at some of the comments I’ve seen about myself in The Bay that I should have been recast because I’m “enlarged”, and look “old”,’ she posted on social media.
‘[The] reality is this face can’t even get served in a bar.
‘Thanks to the bay for keeping my fat arse in a job n not sacking me for being pregnant. 😉.’

She later added on Twitter that she didn’t realise her appearance would ‘aggravate so many people…how some people work is beyond me’.
Receiving support for her post, many people advised Georgia to try and ignore the negativity.
‘The haters are just jealous of the beautiful, talented young actress doing a cracking job in her current TV role…stuff ‘em. You were excellent in it, such a great series,’ one fan wrote.
Another added: ‘You kept to rigorous filming schedules while pregnant. You should be getting praise not abuse.’
Many others said they were loving watching this season and couldn’t wait to see her return to the role.
The fourth season of the show returned to screens earlier this month and follows DS Jenn Townsend (Marsha Thomason) and her team as they investigate the murder of a mother.

Also dealing with her own issues at home, Jenn is having a bit of a hard time with stepdaughter Erin (played by Georgia) who had been skipping school to hang out with her boyfriend.
In December last year, Georgia announced she had given birth to her daughter, Thea, posting a photo from hospital with her partner kissing her on the head.

‘Thea Wioleta Scholes Karlinska. Our little secret, today our lives changed forever and we couldn’t love you anymore,’ she wrote on Instagram.
While she cradled her newborn, on the bed was also a blanket embroidered with her baby’s name.
