The Apprentice 2024 is nearly here, which means time for a deep dive into the candidates.
From February 1, a brand new group of business hopefuls will be battling it out for Lord Alan Sugar’s £250,000 investment, hoping to make it through those brutal boardrooms and be told, ‘You’re hired’ by the man himself in the final.
The candidates were revealed this week, and they’re an eclectic bunch.
We’ve got a failed Dragons’ Den star, two pie experts, and even a body popper who previously appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, but how will they fare when under the watchful eyes of Baroness Karren Brady and former winner Tim Campbell?
One contestant in particular, Tre Lowe, might have a familiar face, thanks to his success in a band…

Tre now works as a music and wellness entrepreneur in London.
However, previously formed a band called Architechs with his brother Ashley.
While their name might not ring a bell, their tune might, as Tre and Ashley secured a top three single with the dancefloor anthem Body Groove.
Body Groove was the garage group’s debut single and it featured vocals from Nana.
Released in September 2000, the song was also a success in Belgium, Iceland, and the Netherlands.
It was certified gold in the UK, selling 400,000 units, and later clocked up millions of streams on spotify.
Speaking about his music career, Tre described the venture as ‘something truly special’.
Who was Tre Lowe’s brother?
Ashley Akabah sadly died in 2020.
The 49-year-old and his brother were also behind remixes of hits for the likes of Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Mariah Carey.
Announcing his death at the time, a short statement read: ‘He died as he lived, excited about music. Forever a musician. Forever loved.’
Paying tribute to his brother, Tre later said: ‘My beautiful brother, Ashley. You brought joy to so many lives with your love for crafting music and putting pen to paper to create magic.’
Recalling the creation of their The Boy Is Mine remix, he added: ‘I remember us making the Boy Is Mine with Kevin in his studio. Together we transformed my little beat into a track that helped alter the history of urban UK music. That was your gift to the world. The ability to bring light with your creative genius.
‘To millions you will forever be the voice on the eternal classic Body Groove. To me, you will always be my big brother, my hero and a truly beautiful soul.’
‘I long for the day when we make music together again. Love you, bro,’ he concluded.
Body Groove singer Nay Nay added: ‘I’m so shocked and saddened by Ashley’s sudden departure and am thinking of his family during this difficult time. He was passionate about music and creating Body Groove was such a positive time we had together in the studio.
‘This record took us around the world and has now become an integral part of UK music; we made a classic! I’m proud to have created and been part of such an iconic moment. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. His music will live on. Rest In Peace.’
What else do we know about Tre?
As for the rest of his personal life, Tre is loved up.
He’s married to Enas Daeki, a successful businesswoman in her own right as the founder of the consultancy agency, Arabela Beauty.
One look at Tre’s Instagram profile will also tell you he’s living the high life, from attending music festivals and fancy parties, to brushing shoulders with the likes of Dame Emma Thompson.
Meanwhile, Tre and his wife love lavish getaways, having shared snaps from Paris, Albania, and Barcelona.
