At first glance, Olivia Colman’s new film Wicked Little Letters may look like your classic, well-behaved British period drama.
Starring the Oscar winner and Jessie Buckley as two neighbours having a bit of a disagreement, it’s set in the quaint beachside village of Littlehampton in Sussex in the 1920s, and is completed with a cast of other respectable acting stalwarts including Dame Eileen Atkins, Timothy Spall, Joanna Scanlan and Lolly Adefope.
