Dejan Kulusevski says he ‘loves’ Ange Postecoglou’s mentality after Tottenham’s 3-3 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.
The Australian coach has earned plenty of plaudits during his short tenure in north London for the gung-ho, attacking style that saw them go unbeaten in the Premier League for his first ten games.
His Spurs side have since struggled with injuries – losing three games in a row at one point – but battled back superbly on the weekend to claim an unlikely point in a 3-3 draw against Manchester City.
It was Kulusveski, himself, who popped up with the crucial 90th-minute header and the Swede admitted he is loving life working under his new boss.
‘I love exactly his mentality because that’s how I want to live my life. We have to grow, but the best thing in life is not be afraid of anything and just go,’ the 23-year-old told The Standard.
‘[It] doesn’t matter who you’re playing against or what you’re doing in life, just go. And if it messes up, it messes up. You did it with your heart. You’re not afraid.
‘You’re trying to win the game, not trying to lose the game. I love the [manager’s] game plan. It’s hard, because City are one of the best teams in the world and everything was not perfect.

‘But second half, with 10 players out, playing like this is unbelievable for him and also for the team.
‘So I really, really like him [Postecoglou] a lot. His tactics, his mentality, that’s the guy you want to work with! ‘No fear, just go!’ I’m happy to work with him every day.’
Postecoglou earned further praise from Kuluvsevski for the nature of his half-time team talk, with Spurs second best in the opening 45 minutes.

‘The coach [Postecoglou] was angry with us at half-time – he told us to just play,’ Kulusevski told Sky Sports post-match.
‘We would like to win as we had enough chances in the second half. It was an unbelievable performance and we need to play like that all season. I’m really proud of the guys.
‘It was really hard. It was too bad we conceded the third goal as we might have won the game. If we can get better mentally then we’ll be at the top come the end of the season.’
