Tears Of The Kingdom player uses glitch to build ‘perpetual flying’ plane

A Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom player has engineered an airplane that can fly around Hyrule without using up any Zonai batteries.

By now, we’ve witnessed some brilliant (and scary) inventions brought to life by Tears Of The Kingdom players harnessing the game’s new Ultrahand ability.

From fashioning a robotic hand to give the kingdom’s furry companions some love, to building an entire theme park, Zelda players have truly pushed the boundaries of creativity.

But just when you thought you’d seen it all, along comes an even more inventive creation that doesn’t rely on batteries and is completely self-sustaining.

A resourceful Redditor called LunisequiouS has cracked the code on bypassing the limitations of Zonai devices by creating a fully autonomous airplane, enabling ‘true perpetual flight.’ However, as you already might have guessed, it’s all made possible through a glitch.

In the comments section of the Reddit post, the player confirmed that the perpetual flying machine is powered by a glitched Shock Emitter attached to Link’s shield.

[Z.E.L.D.A.] INFINITE ELECTRICITY UMPF – True Perpetual Flight. Zero Battery Cost. No Despawning Parts. Fantastic Maneuverability. The Electrical Revolution is Here.

This glitch causes the emitter to continually emit electrical energy, ensuring an uninterrupted source of power.

If we take glitches out of the equation, achieving unlimited flight in the game is out of the question, as correctly noted by other Reddit usera and Zelda playera.

In fact, Tears Of The Kingdom itself purposely removes certain creations after a short period of time, making the notion of ‘perpetual’ anything practically impossible.

To be fair, having batteries that never run out, and devices that never break, would definitely tip the balance of power too much in the players’ favour.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to download or share custom Autobuild schematics yet – although there is a website that details how to recreate some of these creations.

This means that if you’re eager to replicate the flying device, you’ll need to carefully analyse the video to uncover the necessary materials and steps involved.
