Team GB boxer Ben Whittaker says he’s not a ‘spoiled brat’ after refusing to wear silver medal on podium
The i says a devastated Team GB boxer refused to wear his silver Olympic medal after losing the men’s light-heavyweight final.
Ben Whittaker was defeated by Cuban fighter Arlen Lopez, who also won gold at Rio 2016 Olympics, in Wednesday’s final.
The 24-year-old put the silver in his pocket, instead of wear it around his neck at the medal awarding ceremony.
