As it turns out, Taylor Swift doesn’t offer free tour tickets to people she once dated (Picture: Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for MTV)
Any hardcore Swifties reading this will be familiar with the name Whit Wright.
Whit was of course Taylor Swift’s high school boyfriend and the guy she took to prom in 2008.
These days, Taylor’s totally loved up with actor Joe Alwyn, but that hasn’t stopped fans from wondering whether the Love Story crooner’s old prom date was offered freebies to 33-year-old Taylor’s sell-out new Eras tour.
Spoiler alert: he wasn’t.
On Wednesday, a social media user claiming to be Whit (it all looks pretty legit) replied to someone confirming Taylor hadn’t invited him along.
Posting photos of Whit and Taylor at prom, someone on Twitter pondered: ‘Did he get tickets to the eras tour?’
Re-tweeting the message, Whit quipped: ‘Ha no tickets this way!’
What a bummer.
Earlier this month, the Grammy-winner kicked off her Eras tour in the USA and has since performed a handful of blockbuster shows.
Over the next few weeks, the chart-topper will hit dozens of cities across America.

Taylor kicked things off in Arizona on Friday with the help of Paramore and Gayle for support and snaps from the night showed the star expertly commanding the stage – and changing outfits multiple times throughout.
Millions of people tried desperately to secure a spot in the US stadiums, however chaos ensued as fans reported major service failures and delays on Ticketmaster during the presale on November 15, leaving countless Swifties heartbroken and unable to secure tickets.
Ticketmaster was forced to release a statement that read: ‘Due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, tomorrow’s public on-sale has been cancelled.’

The drama even led to several dozen fans of the musician to reportedly sue Ticketmaster for ‘fraud, price fixing and antitrust violations’, as well as ‘intentional deception’.
There have so far been no dates announced for Europe or the UK.
