Taylor Swift fans were convinced the superstar was ‘not amused’ after a joke was made about Travis Kelce at the Golden Globes 2024.
The Anti-Hero singer, 34, whose concert film The Eras Tour was nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category but lost to Barbie, shot host Jo Koy, 25, an icy look after he made the gag on Sunday night.
Referring to Taylor’s presence at Travis’ NFL games bringing in millions more viewers, the comedian had said: ‘The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL?
‘On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift, there’s just more to go to here.’
The camera panned to a close-up of Taylor sitting at her table at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles who pursued her lips before taking a sip of her drink, all the while appearing to give Jon a death stare.
The Shake It Off singer’s expression did not go unnoticed by fans on X, with Spencer Althouse remarking: ‘Oof. I don’t think Taylor Swift liked Jo Koy’s joke about her.’

Melissa Jones added: ‘Taylor Swift was not amused AT ALL. #GoldenGlobes.’
Even Piers Morgan weighed in, commenting: ‘If Taylor Swift death stares could actually kill, Jo Koy would now be deceased.’
The Blank Space singer has made numerous appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games to support her tight end boyfriend Travis since they began dating last year.
In one particularly memorable moment, Taylor, gripped by the game, exploded into outrage as Travis, 34, appeared to be knocked down by a defensive back in the third quarter, with no red flag given.
A video showed the Cruel Summer icon rising out of her seat, wearing an adorable Chiefs jumper and beanie hat, as she yelled: ‘The f**k?’
Taylor and Travis have remained tight-lipped on their romance, although the athlete recently revealed they initially got off to an awkward start after he tried to meet his now-girlfriend during her concert at the Chiefs’ stadium, Arrowhead, in July – but failed to give her his number on a friendship bracelet.

In an interview with WSJ Magazine, he shed light on their relationship, revealing that members of her team secretly went above and beyond to pull their meeting off.
‘There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: “Yo! Did you know he was coming?” I had somebody playing Cupid,’ he told the outlet, without dropping any names. ‘She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.
‘She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but…when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures…in front of my locker.’

Despite being pictured enjoying Taylor’s Eras tour and singing along to her tracks, Travis has mostly remained guarded when discussing his partner in public.
On an episode of his New Heights podcast, which he presents with brother Jason Kelce, the Super Bowl winner vowed that he wanted to only ‘talk about sports’ out of ‘respect for both our lives’.
Unpacking his stance, he continued to the outlet: ‘That was the biggest thing to me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away.
‘I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f**king mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.’
