Taylor Swift has been seen seemingly intervening during one of her shows – mid-song, no less – to stick up for a fan who was being confronted by a security guard.

The pop superstar is currently on her hugely popular Eras Tour and had three shows on her slate over the US Mother’s Day weekend in Philadelphia.

Her mammoth 44-song setlist, which treats her fans to around three hours and 15 minutes of musical content, has been delighting attendees since it kicked off in Glendale, Arizona on March 17.

During her Saturday night performance at Lincoln Financial Field though, Taylor grabbed her fanbase’s attention online after pausing during a song to make sure a female fan at the barrier beneath the section of the stage where she was performing was okay.

Taylor, 33, was dressed in her fiery orange spangled mini-skirt and matching top and singing Bad Blood when the incident happened.

Just as she was about to hit the lyrics for the song’s chorus, the chart-topper could be seen and heard breaking away from the words to point into the crowd and say into her microphone: ‘She’s fine.’

The singer then continued with ‘Cos baby now we’ve got bad blood’, before exclaiming to what appeared to be the security team: ‘She wasn’t doing anything!’

Taylor then made to walk to the other side of the stage while still watching the situation, before returning to yell: ‘Hey! Stop!’

As she continued with a little more of the chorus, she kept her beady eye on what was going on and repeated: ‘Stop.’

Then seemingly satisfied with the outcome, she turned around to stride across the stage and continue the rest of her song and show.

The Anti-Hero chart-topper’s actions were celebrated online by her fans as video footage of the incident spread across social media.

‘I love how Taylor Swift told off that security guard during Bad Blood,’ tweeted one, while another wrote: ‘Taylor Swift yelling at a security guard to protect a fan makes me feel very warm and fuzzy inside.’

‘The way Taylor Swift went into protective/angry mode when fans were harassed by security guards makes me love her so much more,’ added someone else.

Another fan was blunter in their praise, confessing: ‘Taylor Swift yelling at security turns me on.’
