A TalkTV host has sparked more than 15,000 complaints after a ‘disgraceful’ live interview.

Julia Hartley-Brewer triggered outrage and was accused of being ‘unprofessional and rude’ during an interview with Palestinian MP Dr Mustafa Barghouti.

The clip was widely shared online and condemned, as the conversation turned to chaos.

The radio presenter, who hosts a weekday morning show, had been speaking to the politician after a senior Hamas deputy leader was killed in an Israeli drone strike.

During the chat, she interrupted him continuously, and screamed at him: ‘For the love of god let me finish a sentence man!’

She also shouted: ‘Maybe you’re not used to women talking, I don’t know, but I’d like to finish the sentence!’

At one point, she held her head in her hands and looked around the studio, and in the final seconds, finished with: ‘Sorry to have been a woman speaking to you but there you are.’

The interview has now been complained about to Ofcom 15,536 times.

Following the clip being shared on social media, X user @berningman16 wrote: ‘This creature should be fired. Absolute disgrace.’

@angeloinchina added: ‘The most arrogant and clownish journalist ever.’

‘So rude, no interviewing skills at all, just screaming at people,’ @angelavarndall also said.

Other viewers praised Dr Barghouti for remaining calm throughout the interview, despite being spoken over.

X user Nabeel Rajab wrote: ‘I have never seen a presenter this bad. I admire this man and his patience with her impoliteness.’

‘That was so frustrating to watch,’ Afif Aqrabawi added, while @AbukulaibAlJahl wrote: ‘What a disgraceful excuse for a journalist!’
