What are the 3 main political parties in UK?

Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats.

What political type is the UK?

The United Kingdom is a Constitutional Monarchy in which the reigning monarch (that is, the king or queen who is the head of state at any given time) does not make any open political decisions. All political decisions are taken by the government and Parliament.

Who runs England?

The Prime Minister is the leader of Her Majesty’s Government and is ultimately responsible for all policy and decisions. The Prime Minister also: oversees the operation of the Civil Service and government agencies.

Is the UK a two party system?

The two party system in the United Kingdom allows for other parties to exist, although the main two parties tend to dominate politics; in this arrangement, other parties are not excluded and can win seats in Parliament.

Many of Monday’s newspapers continue to share their expectations for the Wednesday Budget. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is hoping to introduce tax cuts in the upcoming Budget – a key policy for Conservatives – but several front pages warn that a squeeze on public spending to fund the tax cuts could leave the country facing even worse living standards.

Extremism is the focus of many of Sunday’s front pages. Tory MP Lee Anderson has been suspended by his party following his comments about Mayor of London Sadiq Khan which have been labelled as “Islamophobic, anti-Muslim and racist”, whilst some of the papers lead on private security being used by some MPs due to rising tensions.

The United Kingdom has conducted its first airdrop of aid into Gaza since the outbreak of war, following an agreement with Jordan. On Wednesday, a Jordanian Air Force plane delivered four tonnes of supplies, including medicines, food, and fuel, into the strip.
