Blind mystic Baba Vanga’s predictions for 2024 (Picture: Getty)
Baba Vanga may have passed away almost three decades ago, but her legacy as the ‘Nostradamus of the Balkans’ continues to live on.
Bulgaria’s legendary mystic made a name for herself across Europe predicting the Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine, the death of Princess Diana, New York’s 9/11, even her own death on August 11, 1996, at the age of 85, her followers claim.
For those who have somehow never come across her life story, she lived in Rupite, a small mountainous village to which various eastern European and Soviet leaders trekked to just for a chance to seek her wisdom.
Blind since early childhood, Vanga was semi-literate in Bulgarian and although she did not record her prophecies, her followers wrote them down, later turning them into books.
Every Christmas, Metro.co.uk shares the clairvoyant’s predictions for the next year for believers.

Alien encounters
Far from conclusive, but some claim that Vanga predicted encounters with aliens or alien-related events in the future.
For 2023, one of her visions said that the world will be covered in darkness after an alien invasion, but with a few hours left to the year, this is unlikely to come true.

Terrorist attacks on Europe
Europe is supposedly set for increased terrorist attacks in 2024, the clairvoyant allegedly warned.
No further details have been shared about which country may be hit or when it may happen.
A surge in cyber attacks
Multiple governments have suffered exhaustive cyber attacks in 2023, spending millions on protecting themselves.
Hackers targeted Israel, Russia and Belarus amongst other victims and further hits are expected.
Vanga warned that these will not be the run-of-the-mill hackers.
They are leveling up in sophistication, targeting critical infrastructure like power grids and water treatment facilities.
Medical and technological breakthroughs
Thankfully, it is not all doom and gloom. Vanga reportedly said there will be new treatments for incurable diseases.
According to Sky History, this will include Alzheimer’s and cancer.
The mystic also predicted that there will be a major breakthrough in quantum computing.
