A number of the headlines lead on plans from Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to challenge what he describes as Britain’s “sick note culture.” Elsewhere, the EU’s olive branch to UK students, Thames Water nationalisation plans and the Tory MP cash scandal make the front pages.

Netflix has seen its profits soar in the first three months of 2024 in part due to its crackdown on password sharing. Netflix saw 9.3 million new customers in the first quarter, bringing its total number of subscribers to almost 270 million. The streaming giant said its profits in the first quarter jumped to more than $2.3bn.

The U.S. and U.K. impose new sanctions on Iran following an unprecedented attack on Israel, raising concerns of a wider conflict in the Middle East.
