The judge sentenced him to three years in juvenile detention, saying that “good luck” had “prevented a tragic outcome.” 

The Australian TV host and his boyfriend Luke Davies were found dead on Tuesday, days after being reported missing.

Condolences have poured in for Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, the suspected victims of a murder in Australia at the hands of a police officer. 

They were discovered in two surf bags at a rural property over 100 miles from Sydney where they were last seen, days after being reported missing.

“We are highly confident that we have found Luke and Jesse,” stated New South Wales (NSW) Police Commissioner Karen Webb.
