The Sunday Express leads with two stories: the prime minister’s call for unity to MPs and claims that Michael Gove risked helping put Labour in power.
The paper also references Liz Truss’s “battle cry” to Conservative MPs that she will lead them with a “heads down and charge” strategy.

Stephen Lawrence racist murder suspect Jamie Acourt to be freed ‘within weeks’
Express says A suspect in the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence will be freed from prison in weeks despite failing to pay back any of the £90,000 he made from a £ 3 million drugs plot. Jamie Acourt, 46, who spent more than two years on the run in Spain under the alias Simon Alfonzo, is due to be released on November 3 after serving half of a nine-year sentence for the drugs offence.
He told a judge he has been offered a job with construction firm Precision Contractors, run by his “friend and builder” Matthew Chapman, and will be supported on the outside by partner Terri Dean.
Acourt, who has two children aged 23 and 19, was one of five men arrested over the murder of Mr Lawrence, who was stabbed to death in Eltham, south-east London on April 22, 1993.

Express says Four cabinet ministers have urged their colleagues to rally around Liz Truss or face certain defeat at the next general election. Express says Russia has branded the attack on the Kerch bridge a “declaration of war without rules” and promised an “adequate response”. On Saturday a massive explosion on the 12 mile bridge killed three people and caused substantial damage. The bridge links Crimea with the Russian mainland and is a key supply route for the Kremlin’s southern army fighting in Kherson province.
Alexander Bashkin, a Russian Senator, vowed that the attack on the bridge would not go unanswered. He said: “This was a declaration of war without rules.” The politician added that the Kremlin’s response would be “adequate, conscious and, possibly, asymmetric”.

Express says Over 30 inmates facing trial over the storming of the US Capitol building on January 6 2021 have begged to be transferred to the notorious prison camp in Cuba. They described the DC Central Detention facility as having a “medieval standards of living”.
According to the inmates their laundry is returned with “brown stains, pubic hair and or reeking of ripe urine”.
There are also complaints about “black mold” and “worms” on the jails walls and in food.
In the letter the inmates complained about the lack of religious services, abuse by guards and vaccine requirements for accessing various services.

Express says Estonia PM Kaja Kalla has called on the West to not negotiate with “terrorist” Vladimir Putin as she believes “Ukraine must win” this ongoing war with Russia, a news report has claimed. Ms Kalla is among Europe’s voices against any appeasement of Vladimir Putin, who she calls a “terrorist” and a “criminal” who must face justice for war crimes in international courts.
Ms Kallas told The Telegraph in Prague, Czech Republic during a European summit: “Ukraine must win this war.”
During the summit, she renewed her demands for more sanctions on Moscow and more weapons for Kyiv.
