Sun Sport – Three Lions Cub … Main Man
The back page of the Sun newspaper leads on teenager Kobbie Mainoo, 18, being called up to the senior England squad for the upcoming friendlies. It’s the last two games England will play before Gareth Southgate names his Euros 2024 squad.
The Man Utd academy graduate has made waves in the Premier League this season, with pundits remarking on his calm approach.
England stars link up for Brazil and Belgium games with Kobbie Mainoo joining Jude Bellingham and Co ahead of Euro 2024
KOBBIE MAINOO has linked up with his new England team-mates for the first time at St George’s Park.
The Manchester United wonderkid, 18, received a belated call-up earlier today, having initially been in the Under-21s squad.
Mainoo beamed for pictures as he arrived at the national training centre.
The midfielder reported for duty alongside the rest of Gareth Southgate’s star-studded squad.
Harry Maguire could be seen with his arm around Jude Bellingham’s shoulder as the duo chatted with Bukayo Saka as fans optimistically called the Manchester United star “agent Harry”.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and Declan Rice also beamed as they arrived at St George’s Park.

Gareth Southgate overtakes Graham Potter as overwhelming favourite for Man Utd job with England contract talks on hold
GARETH SOUTHGATE has overtaken Graham Potter as the bookies’ new 2-1 favourite for the Manchester United job.
Ex-Chelsea boss Potter had been lined up by Sir Jim Ratcliffe if Erik ten Hag is sacked.
But England manager Southgate last week revealed he will shelve Three Lions contract talks until after Euro 2024.
And Ratcliffe, in charge of United’s football operations, said: “If we get the right people in the right boxes, the results will drop out the bottom.”
Potter worked closely with United’s incoming sporting director Dan Ashworth at Brighton, while Southgate has worked with him at the FA.
Reports suggest Sir Jim has made the 53-year-old his No1 choice to replace under-fire boss Ten Hag at Old Trafford.
