Sun Sport – Glas half empty
The back page of the Sun newspaper reports on the latest happenings and gossip in the Premier League. Palace’s new boss Oliver Glasner was in attendance at Crystal Palace vs Everton, which ended 1-1 – but Palace did show their fight.
The paper says Manchester United have made a move for Dan Ashworth – the Newcastle sporting director. It’s said the Toons are holding out for a £20m payout for Ashworth.
There’s speculation that former Man U legend Ole Gunnar Solskjær could replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich’s new boss.
Elsewhere, Man City boss Pep has issued an apology to Kalvin Philips over comments he made about the player being overweight.

EVERTON must hope that this is not the only late reprieve they get within the next 48 hours.
This is a defining week for the club off the pitch but last night Sean Dyche’s players temporarily lifted the doom and gloom as they scrapped a point when all hope appeared lost.
Jordan Ayew’s thunderbolt for Crystal Palace had appeared to give new manager Oliver Glasner the perfect pick-me-up on the day he joined the South London ranks as Roy Hodgson’s replacement.
‘Fans say ‘it’s not April 1 yet’ as Bayern Munich line up sensational move for Man Utd legend Solskjaer amid horror form’
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER is being lined up as a sensational replacement for Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich.
Tuchel finds himself under immense pressure at the Allianz Arena following three defeats in a row.
That sees the reigning Bundesliga champions at serious risk of an early Champions League exit and eight points off Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg was first to claim Bayern are weighing up a stunning move for Solskjaer to take over as interim boss.
And SunSport understands the legendary Manchester United striker – and somewhat underwhelming boss – is indeed being eyed by the German giants.

‘Pep Guardiola apologises to Kalvin Phillips for fat-shaming him… but insists ‘one mistake in eight years isn’t bad’
PEP GUARDIOLA has apologised to Kalvin Phillips for fat-shaming him.
The Manchester City boss criticised his England midfielder for being 1.5kg overweight when he returned from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
But Phillips, trying to rebuild his career on loan at West Ham, revealed the comments had a huge impact on him.
Guardiola has said it was the only time in his City reign he made such a mistake.
He said: “Yeah, I’m sorry. Once in eight years is not bad but I’m so sorry. I apologise to him. I do. I’m so sorry.”
