Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has addressed shaving her head after suffering devastating hair loss amid her cancer treatment.
The pro dancer, 33, revealed earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
She’s since undergone a single mastectomy and is now having chemotherapy after doctors sadly found more tumours, which has also forced her out of Strictly 2023.
While Amy has been inundated with support from fans and friends alike, she’s been taking to social media to show a brave face and share updates of her treatment.
In recent Instagram stories, Amy has revealed she’s been losing more and more hair, and has asked fans for tips on how to deal with the heartbreak.
And after one bluntly told her to ‘shave it off’, she’s responded to the idea.
She wrote: ‘I’m personally not ready for this.

‘Everyone is different and how they cope or go about their journey is up to them and need to be what’s right for them.
‘I’ve had lots telling me just shave it. It’s only hair.
‘I’ve already gone through body changes for life, emotions, pain and right now I want to try save what I can with the cooling cap.’
She went on: ‘Absolutely to those who brave the shave, you are strong!
‘But please all remember everyone of us have different emotions, battles and deals with everything with what’s best for them and how they cope best!

‘All journeys are personal.’
This comes after Amy revealed how much hair she had been losing since returning home from hospital.
Holding a clump of her hair, she wrote: ‘Welcome home’ with a series of broken hearts.
She added: ‘So much everyday! So hard! One day at a time!’
The update came after Amy shared on Sunday that her second round of chemotherapy treatment had left her ‘hair shedding’, which she said was ‘heart-breaking’.
Posting a video of the hair that had fallen out, she wrote: ‘The reality when I gently comb’, with a broken heart emoji.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC later this year.
