Strictly Come Dancing professional Kai Widdrington revealed the sweet reason he ‘blows’ his fingers before dancing with his partner.
The 28-year-old will be back in this year’s series with a new batch of contestants including Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon, Les Dennis, and Adam Thomas, with rehearsals already underway.
Kai – who was previously partnered with AJ Odudu and Kaye Adams – revealed the helpful tips he’s learned during his two years on the shit show.
‘In the boys’ dressing room, we play music and have a laugh. Do silly dances or TikToks. Sometimes I blow on my fingers – that’s what Greg Rutherford would do before he did the long jump,’ he said.
He added to OK! Sometimes you get sweaty hands and it helps to make sure my partner doesn’t slip!’

While Kai has been a regular on the show for two years, his girlfriend and fellow Strictly professional Nadiya Bychkova has been on the show since 2017 and was most recently with Matt Goss.
Kai was giving major boyfriend goals when he told Metro.co.uk: ‘In my opinion, Nadiya is the most amazing dancer in the world.’
‘We’re very supportive of each other,’ he points out.
‘Nadiya is always complimentary to me too.’

In November last year, Nadiya and Kai opened up about how they got together, saying that it was ‘magic’.
‘We became friends, and then magic happened! Can’t help it,’ Nadiya said during their joint appearance on Lorraine.
According to reports, the brand new series of Strictly is set to air on September 23.
And The Sun also claimed that the BBC series will draw to an end on December 16 meaning 13 weeks of dancing!
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC later this year.
