Stormzy has publicly addressed his rekindled romance with Maya Jama for the first time.

The pair broke up in 2019 after four years of dating but got back together over summer.

In a new interview the 30-year-old, real name Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr, explained that they’re trying to keep their romance under wraps this time around.

‘We were so public the first time round. Somewhere down the line, my spirit started resisting,’ Stormzy shared.

Speaking in the December issue of Vogue, the hitmaker also added of his and 29-year-old Maya’s relationship: ‘So I’m not gonna speak on it.’

However, Stormzy did address their loved-up summer getaway to Greece and the resulting snaps, saying: ‘We were just living la vida loca.

‘Lapse of judgement for an hour!’

Stormzy was speaking to the fashion bible for its festive edition, titled: Great Britain: Tradition & Revolution.

The issue showcases ‘some of the most captivating forces across British fashion, style, culture, politics and society’ and also features the likes of Olivia Colman, Kate and Lila Moss, Lil Simz, Jodie Comer and Tilda Swinton.

Maya and Stormzy went Instagram official (again) last month when Maya melted hearts with the sweetest video of Stormzy picking her up from the airport.

The video showed the musician waiting beside his car, clutching onto a picture of Maya’s bombshell fashion campaign and a sign that read: ‘Maya Jama #1 fan.’

Giggling about the sweet gesture, Maya could be heard saying: ‘You are so cute. Thanks.’

It’s even said Stormzy – whose mum reportedly persuaded him to get Maya back – could be getting down on one knee this time around.

‘Stormzy knows how lucky he is to have got her back, and he’s determined not to lose her again,’ spilled an insider to The Sun.
