Steve Martin has casually revealed the release date for the third season of Only Murders In The Building.
Fans have been eagerly waiting to find out when the hit Disney+ mystery comedy will be returning, with Hollywood royalty Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd joining an already all star cast.
Steve, who stars alongside Martin Short and Selena Gomez as true crime podcast trio Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam and Mabel Mora, has confirmed that we don’t have much longer to wait.
During his and Martin’s You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today! touring show in Orlando, Florida, the duo were warming up the audience at the beginning when he made the surprise announcement.
‘Catch the new season August 8,’ he said according to Variety.
Martin joked: ‘Our show is like Steve trying to pee — it streams for 33 minutes.’

Audience members weren’t permitted to record any part of the pair’s live show.
The series has featured a number of famous faces in recurring and cameo roles, including Cara Delevingne, Sting, Amy Schumer and Amy Ryan.
For the show’s third season, legendary actress Meryl has joined the cast, as confirmed in a teaser trailer released earlier this year, while filming for the upcoming run has wrapped.

Selena confirmed the news on Instagram last month, describing season three as ‘deliriously hilarious and challenging’ alongside a photo of them together on set.
She wrote: ‘I’m not sure I have enough words to explain just how beautiful this season has been. It has been deliriously hilarious and challenging.’
Selena continued: ‘For me, [season 3 has been] an absolute dream. I’ll post more soon. But I’ll leave it with the woman I adore, look up to, and love.’
The final scene of season 2 introduced fans to new character Ben Glen (Rudd) – although it didn’t last long as Ben literally died on stage.

However, series co-creator John Hoffman has suggested Ben will still play a prominent role in new episodes.
He told Variety: ‘Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!’
Only Murders In The Building is available to stream on Disney+. The new season will be available August 8.
