Star Sport – Ineos & Outeos
The back page of the Daily Star reports Richard Arnold has left his role at Manchester United as the era of Sir Jim Radcliffe starts.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Man Utd deal could take eight weeks to be completed
STAR SPORT SAYS Sir Jim Ratcliffe could be forced to wait until the back-end of the January transfer window before his arrival at Manchester United is confirmed.
The British billionaire is waiting for his £1.4billion bid for a 25% stake in the club to be greenlit by the Glazer family, but will also need approval from the Premier League before he comes on board. The approval process could take up to eight weeks, meaning that Ratcliffe may have to wait until mid-January to be installed at Old Trafford.
It comes as a significant blow to United’s winter transfer plans, especially given Ratcliffe’s eagerness to re-shape the club’s recruitment policy from head to toe. The INEOS owner was planning to work closely with Erik ten Hag to work out what alterations need to be made to the squad, but those plans may now have to be shelved until the summer.
