Sofia Coppola’s daughter made a confession on her TikTok account and revealed the outrageous reason she was grounded by her famous parents.
Romy Croquet Mars, 16, is one of the two children she shares with husband and Phoenix lead singer Thomas Mars.
The teenager reportedly created a since-deleted account on the video sharing app where she had been uploading and then removing clips divulging secrets about her star-studded family.
In one of the snippets that went viral, the rebellious offspring was heard saying: ‘Make a vodka sauce pasta with me because I’m grounded’.
She continued confessing: ‘I tried to charter a helicopter from New York to Maryland on my dad’s credit card because I wanted to have dinner with my camp friend’.
Declaring she wasn’t afraid of further consequences as she was already in trouble, the teen went ahead and made the account that had previously been banned by her parents.

Romy went on: ‘I thought I would do this since I’m already grounded because my parents’ biggest rule is, like, I’m not allowed to have any public social media accounts. Here’s why’.
She then showed off her father’s Grammy award he took home in 2010.
‘They don’t want me to be a nepotism kid, but TikTok is not gonna make me famous, so it doesn’t really matter,’ she concluded.
Among the short-lived spree of uploads on the app was a snippet of Romy admitting she was ‘embarrassed’ that she didn’t know the difference between a garlic bulb and an onion while cooking.

The teen later took a swipe at her parent’s absence as she introduced someone she claimed to be her babysitter’s boyfriend.
She said: ‘My parents are never home so these are my replacement parents’.
Sofia commented on how she balanced life as a mother with her busy job while chatting with The Guardian.
The star revealed: ‘I was on location and away from my daughters [currently in middle and high school], who I felt were needing a mother’.

Despite supposedly fearing her own daughter being labelled as a ‘nepo-baby’, Sofia is the daughter of filmmakers Eleanor and Francis Ford Coppola.
