Ashley Kemp appeared in court accused of the murder of Clair Armstrong
A skydiving instructor strangled his girlfriend after being accused of raping a teenager, it has been reported.
Claims that Ashley Kemp had sexually assaulted a girl put his relationship with Clair Armstrong under severe strain.
The mum-of-three was found dead at the main bedroom of a house in Elm Way, in Messingham, North Lincolnshire.
Her partner later dialled 999, admitting to police ‘I’ve killed my girlfriend’, the Sun reported.

‘We got into a fight and I ended up strangling her,’ Kemp confessed to officers.
‘She is upstairs on the bed in the main bedroom. We just had an argument, that was all, and it just got heated.
‘She just started thrashing out and I just reacted. I never react. I pinned her down and just choked her.’
Grimsby Crown Court heard that at the time of the killing on November 6, 2022, a teenage girl had made ‘allegations of a sexual nature’ against Kemp.

The 53-year-old was arrested but no decision has been made yet on whether any charges will be brought forward.
After choking Ms Armstrong to death, Kemp then made the chilling confession to police.
But hours later, his car was spotted on on the B1398 after he had crashed into a tree, then ploughed through a hedge.

A handwritten note was found in his clothing referring to the allegations, saying: ‘It is lies. It has torn the family apart. It’s time to go. I can’t be happy now. I’m so sorry.’
The couple had been together for two years after meeting at a skydiving centre where they were both instructors.
Kemp has admitted manslaughter but denies murder. The trial continues.
