Pink rocked Hyde Park over the weekend and we were left delightfully stunned (Picture: Redferns)
What do coloured exercise balls, trampolines, giant lips, palm trees and harnesses galore have in common? Pink… that’s what!
Taking over a jam-packed Hyde Park as part of the British Summer Time festival, the Cover Me In Sunshine singer wowed audiences beyond belief on Sunday night.
If her acrobatic performances and killer vocals weren’t enough, her fan interactions and serotonin-inducing anecdotes did the trick throughout her two hour Summer Carnival extravaganza.
The American singer – real name Alecia Beth Moore – showed everyone just how relevant she really was as she flew through the air on more occasions than one and sang her heart out to the setting of the sun and an onslaught of devoted supporters.
Watching the show felt like a euphoric fever dream and with so many standout moments it became near impossible to collate them all into a few hundred words – but we’re giving it our best shot.
Here’s six times the 43-year-old showstopper knocked our socks off in the middle of central London…
Authentic apologies and jaw-dropping antics

From the moment the music began playing, she had us in the palm of her hand or rather between her teeth.
Just as we were all about to do, a huge mechanical mouth parted its lips and dropped its jaw as the Stupid Girls rocker unveiled herself from the roof of the stage.
Quite literally getting the party started with one of her OG tracks, as the first note left her lungs she announced she meant business and we were roaring with appreciation before our minds could even understand what was going on beneath the explosion of neon colour.
Following her epic entrance with renditions of her early songs – Raise Your Glass, Who Knew and Just Like A Pill – Pink paused her singing to have some fun with the audience and began by wishing an eager 10-year-old happy birthday.
She strutted down the runway wearing a rhinestone-encrusted glittering bodysuit and stopped to take in the fans’ signs screaming messages to her in indelible ink.
Noticing another milestone coming of age, the singer declared: ‘Forty’s fun, I like forties! I got rid of all of…god there’s so many kids here I’m such a mom now, I would’ve just said what I was going to say five years ago.’
She continued covering up her near swear-word slip and leaned on the crowd for support: ‘You know what I mean!’
Questioning, ‘Are y’all ready to have a good time tonight?’ after her chat with onlookers she launch into her next number and by then we were drowning in the Pink Kool-Aid.

Midway through what we would dub the first chapter of the non-stop carnival, she attempted what we had all been waiting for – Pink was ready to fly, however, her harness and production crew were not.
Walking gracefully up to the rope dangling on the platform after a big breathy buildup she called for a reset and begged the stage manager to raise her stirrup ‘six inches’, making an inappropriate joke as she did so.
The wind had begun to whip through our once sweaty hair and it appeared the weather may have been against the hitmaker as she pleaded with the set piece to take off.
Inviting the crowd to ‘step into her office’, she got down on her hands and knees to have a word with a mysterious body underneath the staging.
A bit of back and forth later, the aptly named Turbulence blared out via the speakers and she was off soaring and spinning in place high above the thousands of fans watching on in pure awe.
Majestic, beautiful, stunning, ethereal – you pick your preferred adjective but all sum up what we witnessed that night… and the best part? She wasn’t nearly ready to plant her feet on the ground just yet.

A real ‘ahh’ moment in the midst of the fun factory, Pink welcomed her daughter Willow Sage Hart to the stage during a rendition of Cover Me In Sunshine – and to say the crowd went wild would be a mega understatement.
Dressed in a summer frock, the 12-year-old proved she really was her mother’s child and we just couldn’t get enough of the adorable moment between the duo.
Planting a wet one on the pre-teen’s lips, Pink gazed after Willow as skipped off and it was back to regular programming that was, well, anything but ordinary.
Who Knew Gwen was Pink’s ‘she-ro’

In another cameo special, the chart-topper stopped belting out bangers to call out her friend and opening act Gwen Stefani for the ultimate girl crush moment – that was just too good not to mention.
Watching on from the VIP tower in the middle of the park, the Hollaback hitmaker was fresh from her own setlist and held her hands to her heart as Pink showered her with praise.
Before jumping into Just Give Me A Reason, she admitted she had been trying to be ‘as cool as’ Gwen for many years but failed as she labelled the former No Doubt frontwoman her ‘she-ro’.
Proposals and marriage advice
She offered fans insight into her own marriage
Seemingly becoming a trend at concerts these days, in amongst the gorgeous chaos that was unfolding on the stage, during the star’s cover of Adele’s Make You Feel My Love, someone popped the question.
We must admit, if it was going to happen, the blazing orange sunset and Pink’s flawless vocals were a pretty much perfect setting to do it and the singer appeared to agree.
Noticing the milestone taking place, she took it upon herself to offer some words of marriage wisdom and shared intimate details from her own romantic life with her husband Carey Hart.
Citing ‘authentic apologies’ as the key to a happy life, she also warned that the first year is the hardest in a jovial manner while wishing the happy couple well.
Superwoman – need we say more

For the finale of all finales, Pink earned her five stars and then some as she went out with a sky-high bang like no one but her daredevil self ever could.
Reemerging from a quick outfit change, the crowd was buzzing with anticipation and excitement as they noticed the extra large harness strapped around her waist.
She clipped herself in and – like a child on a swing – soared into the air, somersaulting, back-flipping – all while singing the lyrics to her smash hit So What.
It’s a rare occurrence to find ourselves lost for words but as the sparkling figure glided through the inky black sky we were truly speechless looking up in wonderful admiration.
