Cliff Notes – Sharon Osbourne declares ‘I’m done’ after Ozzy’s final Black Sabbath show

    • Sharon Osbourne announced her retirement from the music industry following Ozzy’s emotional final performance with Black Sabbath at Villa Park, Birmingham, stating, “I’m done” after over 40 years in the business.
    • The farewell concert, which was her idea, served as a celebration of Ozzy and the band’s legacy, with Sharon emphasising there will be “no way on God’s green earth” for another show.
    • Ozzy expressed gratitude to fans during the performance, stating it was his last song ever, while the event was attended by numerous music legends, including Brian May and Steven Tyler.

Sharon Osbourne has candidly spoken out after her husband Ozzy took to the stage in his final performance alongside Black Sabbath.

The rocker, 76, appeared overwhelmed with emotion while performing at Villa Park in Birmingham for the Back to the Beginning show, joining his bandmates Tommy Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward on stage.

Sharon, who has been her husband’s manager for over 40 years, has now declared that she’s finally ‘done’ after a lifetime in the music business.

Speaking about Ozzy’s final performance after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 2003, TV presenter Sharon, 71, insisted there’s ‘no way on God’s green earth’ that there will be another show for the band,

She told Billboard: ‘I’ve been doing this since I was 15, and I’m done. We just want to live our life and do what we want to do and not have to follow an itinerary anymore.’

Sharon went on to reveal that the farewell concert was her idea.

‘He kept saying, ‘It’s my one regret,’ and ‘I want a chance to really say thank you,’ she explained.

‘And this is what we thought would be the best way to do it. It’s a celebration of Ozzy and Sabbath and the music.’

Despite the career confession, Sharon, who has daughters  Aimee, 41, and Kelly, 40, as well as son Jack, 39, with Ozzy,  insisted that she still loves her husband.

She told the Mirror: ‘Even if you don’t like his music you can’t not like Ozzy – he just draws you in.

‘We have been together for over 50 years. I have stuck by him because I love him. It is simple. I understand him and why he does the things he does.’

While Ozzy remained sitting down during the concert, he commanded the audience by clapping and waving his arms around, pulling his wide-eyed expressions he’s famous for.
