Rory McLaren met the victim at Roc Nightclub in Hamilton in Lanarkshire, Scotland
A sex offender has been jailed after his victim mouthed ‘help’ to a CCTV camera when she thought he was about to rape her.
Rory McLaren, 21, who pleaded guilty to assault and intent to rape, met the 19-year-old victim at Roc Nightclub in the Scottish town of Hamilton in Lanarkshire.
The pair ended up outside the venue and McLaren started pulling and grabbing at her clothing.
As she tried desperately to get away from him, the plumber, who was under supervision for a previous sexual offence, told her: ‘I want to s**g the f**k out of you’.
At one point he pushed the terrified woman’s face into a flower bed before groping her.
She noticed a CCTV camera and mouthed ‘help’ at it, in the hope someone would see her.
McLaren then pulled her towards him and told her, ‘I want to s**g you’, before she managed to flee back to the nightclub.

CCTV operators spotted the incident, contacted police and he was arrested.
McLaren, already in custody at HMP Barlinnie, appeared for sentencing at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Colin Dunipace ordered McLaren be kept under supervision for two years after his release and placed him on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
Depute fiscal John Coogan said: ‘She believed she was about to be raped and indicated to the accused that she didn’t want to be there and began shouting as loud as she could “get away, leave me alone, let me go”.’
Rowan Myles, defending, said: ‘He accepts that when they removed themselves from that establishment his behaviour was utterly appalling and he is only aware of this behaviour through watching the CCTV footage.

‘He felt ashamed, looked disgusted and accepted immediately full responsibility and appreciates the lasting impact his behaviour will have had.”
Sheriff Dunipace said: ‘The women of this jurisdiction have the right to walk the streets with being subjected to the predatory actions of people like you.
‘Because of the gravity of the crime and your previous criminal record, I’m satisfied that a custodial sentence is the only appropriate disposal in this case.
‘I’m particularly concerned that you committed such a serious sexual offence while on a community payback order for another sexual offence.’
