Second-day of disruption for strike-hit schools
England’s schools are facing another day of disruption as teachers strike for a second time this week.
Members of the National Education Union (NEU) are striking for the seventh day of national action since February, in a long-running dispute over pay.
The NEU are balloting for more industrial action in the autumn which could involve co-ordinated strikes with other education unions.
Many schools are expected to fully or partially close today.
It’s the country’s seventh national strike, and the eighth day of significant disruption for England’s schools because of previous action at the regional level.
Official figures on school closures this week have not yet been published.
