Scottish Elections LIVE: Sturgeon grilled in final FMQs after hinting local council deal
Daily Express says NICOLA STURGEON will be grilled by Scottish opposition leaders this afternoon, in the final FMQs before tomorrow’s local elections, after hinting at a deal with the Greens.
According to the latest polls from YouGov, the SNP are the most popular party, with 37 percent of Scots saying they would vote for them in a general election. Labour are the second-largest party, with 18 percent saying that they would vote for them. However, as in the rest of the UK, partygate has affected the Conservatives’ popularity, with voting intention falling from 17 to 11 percent.
On Sunday, whilst campaigning for the elections, Ms Sturgeon hinted that if the SNP is returned as the largest party following Thursday’s local elections she is “not averse” to a deal with the Greens similar to the one made at Holyrood last year.
