Scarborough hotel incident: Grand and Travelodge evacuated as ‘bomb squad called’
The Mirror says guests staying at The Grand Hotel and Travel Lodge in Scarborough have been evacuated as police swarm the historic building.
Holidaymakers have been rushed out of the hotel by police, who have told them that if they do not get out now then they may be “stuck in their rooms all day”.
Photos from the scene outside the Grand Hotel shows a police van parked outside the hotel, which hosts hundreds of people in its 413 rooms, and a number of officers on the scene.
