Sarah Jessica Parker has finally chatted about Kim Cattrall’s upcoming And Just Like That cameo which she refused to film with her Sex and The City co-stars.
To celebrate the first day of Pride month on June 1, Kim confirmed her return as Samantha Jones which came as a wild shock to fans considering she wasn’t invited back for the Sex and the City revival and said she wouldn’t have wanted to reunite with her former co-stars, Sarah, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon even if she’d been approached to.
Well, here we are, Samantha is back and despite their very public feud, Carrie Bradshaw actress Sarah insisted the small appearance is ‘a lot of joy’.
She told MailOnline Samantha’s unexpected comeback is ‘really fun and exciting and certainly nostalgic’.
In the scene, Carrie and Samantha talk over the phone in a real ‘cliffhanger’ moment.
In season one it was revealed they’d fallen out after Carrie got a new publicist but they began to text again following the death of Carrie’s husband, Big.

Harry Goldenblatt actor Evan Chandler previously claimed Kim filmed her part in ‘a garage’ and had zero communication with any other cast members.
Charlotte star Kirstin said she hopes fans won’t be ‘disappointed’.
‘We just thought that, you know, it would be fun for the fans to have a little bit of Samantha because we know that they miss her and she’s a great character,’ she said.
‘I don’t know that we’re even trying for closure at this point, or resolution. I think we just thought you know, here is, you know, our character who’s been gone. And we know people miss her and Carrie misses her…
‘And wouldn’t this be great to have a little bit of her, you know, that’s what we wanted. And then I think maybe hopes have been lifted, possibly higher than that. And that was not our intention. So I hope people aren’t disappointed.’
And Just Like That returns to Sky Comedy and NOW on Thursday June 22.
