Sam Thompson finally got to chat to his girlfriend Zara McDermott after his I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2023 win.
The former Made in Chelsea star, 31, became the new King of the Jungle on Sunday night, with Tony Bellew, 41, finishing as runner-up while ex-politician Nigel Farage, 59, came in third.
It was a runaway victory for the reality TV personality, who secured over 40% of the overall viewer vote, and he shared his excitement with best mate Pete Wicks as they reunited on the rickety bridge – with Sam jumping straight into his arms.
And while girlfriend Zara wasn’t there in person, she instead held a massive watch party with friends and family – and the pair still shared a sweet reunion at the end of the night.
Love Island star Zara had previously shared the moment the room erupted with cheers after Sam was named the winner of I’m A Celeb 2023, and she has now posted another clip showing the chaos before and after.
Putting the video to the sound of – what else? – Everybody In Love by JLS, the clips show the family eating, drinking and watching Sam on telly, with everyone naturally freaking out when the big moment came.

And, right at the end, the couple reunite over FaceTime, with Zara excitedly chatting to her boyfriend as he continued reeling from being awarded the title of King.
Sam himself can be seen yelling and cheering on the other side of the video call, surrounded by other campmates.

Zara previously explained why Pete was going to Australia to meet Sam while she stayed at home, and revealed it was because her boyfriend was convinced she would still be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing while he was in the jungle.

In fact, she was knocked out of the competition before Sam even headed out to Australia, but she explained on Instagram ‘ it was a bit impossible to clear everything but Sam was so excited by the idea of Pete being there anyway that he was happy for me to be waiting for him back at base.’
On Sunday, Sam told Ant and Dec that his time in the jungle was ‘like a dream I didn’t want to be woken up from.’
‘It’s the most surreal thing I’ve ever done in my life,’ he added, with the I’m A Celeb megafan joking he ‘blacked out’ when Ant and Dec first walked into camp.
And it seems Sam has an exciting year ahead, as bookies have tipped him to join This Morning as a host, appear on Strictly Come Dancing, and even get his own TV show alongside I’m A Celeb best bud Tony.
The star already has a lot lined up for next year as he and Pete are preparing to take their podcast Staying Relevant on the road, with dates in Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Cardiff in April 2024.
