S Club star Hannah Spearritt is now living in Costa Rica and loving her new life.
She might have once been part of one of the biggest pop groups in the world – but Hannah Spearritt is now a ‘survivalist living the uninhibited jungle life’.
In 1998 S Club was formed by Simon Fuller, with Hannah being part of the original line-up alongside Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Rachel Stevens.
In the five years the band was together, they had four UK number one singles and a UK number one album, selling over 14 million albums worldwide
After the band split in 2003, they reunited temporarily for a short tour in 2015 and two years ago were set to do the same. But in April 2023, Cattermole died aged 46 after suffering heart failure.
Although the rest of the members continued with plans to reunite, Hannah withdrew from the group before the tour.
Then, in July last year, it was first reported Hannah and her partner Adam Thomas were planning on leaving the UK and moving their young family to Costa Rica.

First visiting the Central American country in 2018, they went on to open a themed cafe in Twickenham.
The couple, who share two children, Tea, five, and Tora, three, have since relocated to the country, doing so in January.
At the time she explained: ‘Well.. we finally made it to paradise. Beautiful country, beautiful people.’
Since then Hannah, 44, has been sharing updates with her followers about their new lives, also describing herself on social media as a ‘prepper, survivalist and creator now living the uninhibited jungle life’.
Her most recent post, shared on Instagram today, shows her standing on a balcony overlooking a rainforest.
She relocated to the Central American country earlier this year and Hannah said the move signalled ‘new beginnings’
‘Looking out to new beginnings.. at our new #home! Next on the menu is to learn permaculture… and have a laugh at ourselves filming the planting of the fruit forest! Have a beautiful Tuesday everyone. Sending so much #love from # CostaRica #appreciate y’all. P.S. so many things I’m excited to share with you,’ she wrote.
Other posts in the past few months have shown Hannah’s daughters hiking, the family at waterfalls, swimming in rivers and swinging off tyres hung to trees.
In February Hannah wrote about the ‘magical place’ that she added had ‘helped me recover from a challenging year’.
She had previously told The Sun of her plans. ‘That’s the dream, to move to Costa Rica and buy some land or a farm and live the simple life with the girls,’ she said.
Following Cattermole’s death, Hannah spoke about her devastation and ongoing struggle with grief.

She was left heartbroken by the death of former bandmate and boyfriend Cattermole in 2023.
The pair had been childhood friends before going on to date for five years before breaking up in 2006. Although they got back together in 2015, they split again after a few months.
‘I’m trying my best to hold it together but once I start, I can’t stop crying,’ she said in the wake of his death.
‘And then I have to keep myself together for our two kids. I can’t even imagine any mother losing their child.’
‘My heart is broken for him and his family. He was happier than he had been in years, so for this to happen now, makes it even more heartbreaking,’ she added when speaking to The Sun.
