Russia and Ukraine continue attacks despite Trump-Putin call

In the aftermath of a significant phone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, tensions between Russia and Ukraine have escalated, with both nations accusing each other of violating a newly established ceasefire. The leaders had agreed upon a limited 30-day ceasefire, primarily focusing on halting attacks targeting energy and infrastructure facilities.

Despite the agreement, reports indicate that Russia launched attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure shortly after the ceasefire commenced. These actions prompted Zelensky to call for global intervention to prevent further Russian aggression. Zelensky had initially supported a comprehensive 30-day ceasefire, as suggested by President Trump, but had to settle for a more limited agreement.
