Russia ‘adds 7,000 troops’ to Ukraine border after claims it was withdrawing
The Metro says Russia has boosted forces near the Ukraine border days after announcing a ‘pullback’ of some forces and weapons, a US official has warned.
The White House senior official, who spoke anonymously, has accused Vladimir Putin of adding up to 7,000 troops.
There has also been a notable increase in false claims by Russians including reports of unmarked graves of civilians allegedly killed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they said.
Moscow has repeatedly denied plans to attack – despite lining up an estimated 130,000 troops along the border.
