Roman Kemp has revealed he will do Strictly Come Dancing, on one condition.
The 30-year-old broadcaster has already got his hands dirty in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, and now it appears he’s considering the slightly more glamorous adventure that is Strictly Come Dancing.
But he’s not foxtrotting to the dancefloor just yet, as Roman has one very specific request before he agrees to anything.
Roman insists he must be paired with a male partner, to avoid a ‘soap opera’ – and that person must be Johannes Radebe.
‘The only way I’d do Strictly is if I was teamed up with Johannes [Radebe],’ the Capital Radio DJ told OK!.
‘I think sometimes the show takes away from the skill of the dancers and it becomes like a soap opera of who’s dating who.’

Here, Roman could be referring to the so-called ‘Strictly curse’ – where stars have in the past left their real life partners for their dancing ones after concocting some electric energy in rehearsals and on stage.
The presenter would rather concentrate on the dancing, which is why it would be ideal for Roman – who is straight – to be coupled with a same-sex partner to avoid any salacious gossip.
This comes after Roman opened up to Metro.co.uk about what his friend Lewis Capaldi said to him immediately after leaving the stage at Glastonbury.
The Before You Go hitmaker had a ‘difficult’ set, after which he announced that he would be pausing all future live performances to focus on his mental and physical health.

Recalling a conversation Roman had with Lewis in the following moments, he told us: ‘I spoke to him just after he came off stage, and we had a chat on the phone.
‘I spoke to him just to say well done. And he said to me, he goes: “What do you think? I think I’m going to take some time. It’s just scary because you build all this stuff up and you don’t want to lose it.”‘
To that, Roman said: ‘”Man, look at the amount of people that are there. They’re not going to forget you.
‘”It’s just funny that your song is called Forget Me, but like, remember that you can go to sleep tonight having done something that’s a bucket list for any artist.”‘
He continued: ‘So now the main thing is, he’s got to get himself better. And that’s what I told him, that’s what I said to him.’
