RMT members vote in favor of strike action at ScotRail due to proposed implementation of ‘driver-only’ trains on two Glasgow lines

RMT members have announced plans to strike on services across the south-side of Glasgow on May 18-19 and the following three weekends, causing potential disruptions for commuters in the area.

The strike action comes as a result of a dispute over pay and working conditions, with RMT members demanding fair compensation for their hard work and dedication to keeping the trains running smoothly.

Passengers need to plan alternative modes of transportation

Passengers are advised to plan ahead and consider alternative modes of transportation during the strike dates, as train services are expected to be severely impacted.

The RMT has apologized for any inconvenience caused, but stresses that the strike is necessary in order to bring attention to the issues facing their members.

Union representatives have stated that they are open to further negotiations with management in order to reach a resolution, but until then, the strikes will continue as planned.
